Hey, Radiant Soul!
Letting go is often framed as releasing pain, old wounds, or toxic relationships. And while that’s true, sometimes letting go isn’t about releasing something negative—it’s about surrendering to something even better, even when it’s terrifying.
I’ve always believed in following my intuition, but there was a time in my life when I fought it. I had spent six incredible years living in Los Angeles, where I built a life that felt aligned, exciting, and deeply fulfilling. I had a job I loved, an amazing community, and a version of life that, at the time, I thought was the peak of what I could ever want.
And then, out of nowhere, I felt the nudge. The universe whispered that there was something else waiting for me. A new direction, a shift. It came in the form of a random thought: What if I applied for a second master’s degree? It wasn’t part of my plan. But the idea wouldn’t leave me.
So, I applied.
And then, I got in.
And suddenly, the reality of leaving behind the life I had built hit me.
The Fear of Letting Go
I wish I could tell you that I was immediately excited and ready to jump into this next adventure, but that wouldn’t be the truth. The truth is, I panicked.
How could I walk away from a life that I had spent years creating? My job wasn’t just a paycheck—it was meaningful, fulfilling, and aligned with my purpose. My friends weren’t just friends—they were family. My routines, my comfort zone, my identity—it all felt so rooted in Los Angeles.
I spent months wrestling with the fear of letting go. I journaled endlessly, writing through every doubt and insecurity. Would I regret leaving? Would I find a community again? What if this was a mistake?
And then, slowly, I began to trust.
Trust that if this opportunity presented itself to me, it was for a reason. Trust that the universe wasn’t taking something away—it was leading me toward something greater. Trust that just because I loved the life I had didn’t mean I wouldn’t love the life that was waiting for me.
Saying Yes to the Unknown
A few months later, with more faith than certainty, I packed up my life and moved to England.
It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
The fears I had? They were real. There were moments of loneliness, moments where I questioned everything. But there were also moments of deep joy, expansion, and connection.
I built a new community—one that has been with me through the last six years, guiding and supporting me in ways I never could have imagined. I grew in ways that never would have been possible if I had stayed where I was. And I learned something that has changed the way I approach life ever since:
Letting go isn’t always about releasing something bad. Sometimes, it’s about trusting that there’s something even better waiting for you.
Reiki and Energy Healing: Releasing Resistance to Change
Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting or devaluing what once was—it means allowing energy to flow freely rather than holding onto fear, doubt, or attachment. This is something I now integrate deeply into my Reiki practice.
When we resist change, we create energetic blocks that keep us feeling stuck. We cling to what’s familiar because it feels safe, even if something greater is trying to enter our lives. Reiki helps clear these blocks, realign us with our highest self, and support us in surrendering to what’s meant for us.
If you find yourself struggling to let go—whether it’s an old version of yourself, a relationship, a job, or simply the way you thought life should be—know that you are not alone. Healing and releasing is a process. It takes time, patience, and trust.
How to Start Letting Go Today
Letting go is a practice, and like any practice, it gets easier with time. Here are a few ways to start shifting your energy toward surrender and trust:
1. Journal Through Your Fears
Write out everything that scares you about letting go. Be honest. Then, reframe your thoughts—what if this change is happening for you, not to you?
2. Practice Reiki or Energy Work
If you’re feeling blocked, Reiki can help release stagnant energy and bring in clarity. Even self-Reiki or placing your hands on your heart while breathing deeply can create a shift.
3. Use Affirmations
Affirmations help rewire the mind and shift energy. The more you affirm trust in the universe, the more you will feel it.
4. Visualize Your Next Chapter
Instead of focusing on what you’re losing, visualize what you’re gaining. Imagine your future self, fully aligned and thriving.
5. Surrender the Timeline
Sometimes, we don’t see the big picture until later. Release the need to control how and when things unfold. Trust that you are always being guided.

Final Thoughts
Letting go isn’t always easy. It can feel like stepping off a ledge into the unknown, hoping the universe will catch you. But every time I’ve listened to my intuition, every time I’ve trusted that there was something more waiting for me, I have been met with experiences that have changed my life in the most beautiful ways.
If you’re standing at a crossroads, unsure whether to hold on or let go, take a deep breath. Trust that you are being guided. Know that whatever is ahead is unfolding exactly as it should.
And most of all, remember—letting go isn’t about loss. It’s about expansion.
Keep shining, remember, you got this.
